I recently had the privilege to be approached by Ryan Lawson - a good friend and an old copywriter partner of mine, who commissioned me to design and illustrate the cover for his new book.
“No Word of a Lie” is "A completely accurate account of the last 185 years, told through the eyes of the world’s oldest Galapagos tortoise.” He’s basically a pathological liar (the Tortoise - not Ryan). The central conceit of the book is brilliantly funny, so it was fun to explore the character and capture the essence of the story in a single image.
